Who We Are

Blue Winds Farm, 30 acres of field and forest over slow rolling hills, just a hop-skip-and-jump from Blue Job Mountain in Strafford, NH.

First documented settlement of the farm was by the Stanton family in the 1750’s (Yes! Before United States was the United States), as in many old New England towns, you find the Stanton’s and their kin are laid to rest on the land where they poured their blood, sweat and tears (and smiles too, surely). The property supported their generations until the 1920’s, then onto Jones, Berry, Redmond, and Robidas families, until in 2021 when our story begins. As we were the lucky ones that the property chose as its next residents. There is something amazing, and connecting, to know the deep history of your home, and how many things that need to fall into place to have the opportunity to come to be a part of a place such as this.

The land was calling to us. To be more than just a still place. It called for life and to be worked and ground producing as it once did. So began our journey in farming. LAVENDER! What’s more than to take a place with the most amazing energy, and top it off with the ultimate of calming plants. As our story continues to be written, we tend the land and plant the field. To date, we have 2000 plants in four varieties, and we’re not stopping there. The farm opened to guests in 2024, come visit us to see what new special projects we’re working on. We find joy in sharing this special place, rich in land and history with all those who wish to experience it. After all, we are just stewards of this land, for as long as we are lucky to serve it.
